II. Partner Connect FAQs (Specific to Chapter  and International Partners):

  1. What is APICS Partner Connect?
    Partner Connect is the online membership data management tool created specifically for use by APICS partners.  The tool (formerly known as My Chapter, allows APICS professional and student chapters, international associates, district leadership and AEPS (limited access) to review, edit and create reports on membership data, review partner order history, report volunteer board leadership changes, access promotional materials through CBOX, and create an organization profile that will be displayed in partner search results within the APICS Partner and Event Finder.

  2. Who can access Partner Connect?
    Registered APICS chapter presidents, international associate leaders and district leadership are granted access to Partner Connect by the APICS Channel Partner services staff.  Those who have access will see a link to Partner Connect on the My APICS tab of the website once they log in.   Once the partner leaders have access they can grant access to their fellow leaders as required.

  3. I logged in, but I don’t see Partner Connect on the My APICS tab, what do I do?
    If you previously had access to My Chapter, and do  not see the Partner Connect tab, please send an email containing your name, APICS id, and partner organization name to chaprel@apics.org – Subject line: Partner Connect access, and a channel partner services team member will assist you.

  4. How do I get to the Partner Connect Home Page?
    After logging in, click on the tab for My APICS. Under the Partner Connect section to the right, click on Manage APICS Partner Connect. To the right, click on the link to Partner Connect Home. If you are the designated primary leader (president, chief administrative staff, and International Associate leader) you will see primary leader tools and the latest membership news.  If you are an approved user (not the primary leader) you will only see the latest membership.

  5. How can I view my Partner Profile?
    After logging in, click on the tab for My APICS. Under the Partner Connect section to the right, click on Manage  APICS  Partner  Connect. (see picture below)




  6. Can I edit my Partner Profile?
    Yes. Any chapter or international associate with Partner Connect access can edit their respective profile. After logging in, click on the My APICS tab. Under the Partner Connect section to the right, click on APICS Partner Connect. From here you can view and edit your organization’s profile. Be sure to click the Save button after making any edits.

  7. How can I see existing upcoming events for my organization?
    After logging in, click on the tab for My APICS. Under the Partner Connect section to the right, click on Manage APICS Partner Connect. Click on the Calendar of Events tab to view upcoming events.

  8. How can I add an event to my organization’s calendar?
    After logging in, click on the tab for My APICS. Under the Partner Connect section to the right, click on “Manage APICS Partner Connect.” Click on the Calendar of Events tab then click the Add Event button to add your event. Be sure to click Save when you are finished.

  9. Where/How is my organization’s profile displayed on the www.apics.org?
    The APICS Partner and Event finder is the search tool on www.apics.org that connects customers and members with their local APICS partner.  The Partner and Event finder is the one-stop location to find local APICS partners, courses, partner events and activities, and APICS certification exams.  All of the information you enter in the Partner Profile section is featured in the Partner and Event finder.  Customers and members can search by zip (US only), city, state/province, country, services offered or event type.  So the more detail you provide, the better your chance of being featured in partner searches.

  10. How can I view my Partner order history?
    After logging in, click on the tab for My APICS. Under the Partner Resources section to the right, click on Access APICS Partner Connect. To the right, click on the link to Partner Order History.  An update to the tool is the ability to view your entire order history for the past five years, including orders placed by placed by web, phone, fax or mail.

  11. Where are the reports I used to download in My Chapter, SAMCA, Rebates, Suspends, etc?
    All of the membership and financial reports that were available in My Chapter are available in Partner Connect.  The only change is the location.  The Real Time reports and the static Snapshot reports have been separated.  If you are looking for SAMCA reports or the membership rebate reports, select Snapshot reports from the Quick links menu on the right side of the Partner Connect screen

III. What is the Partner and Event Finder?

  1. What is the Partner and Event Finder?
    The Partner and Event Finder combine details about all APICS partner services and events in one searchable location.  Website visitors can use this tool to locate a local chapter  or international associate professional development meeting (PDM), partner networking event, certification review course, in-house instruction, or certification exam.

  2. Which partners are listed in this tool?
    APICS professional and student chapters, international associate organizations, certification exam administrators and providers and AEPs (on a limited scale) will all be available for searching.

  3. I used my home zip code and a radius of 5 miles, and received no result.  Does that mean there are no services provided in my area?
    No, it just means you need to expand your search criteria. APICS has more than 200 chapters in North America and nearly 90 international partners worldwide.  Chances are there is a provider for the service you are seeking within 100 miles of your location.

  4. What types of services do partners offer, what do the abbreviations mean on the search results?
    In North America, APICS chapters traditionally offer membership services (monthly meetings, newsletters, discounted training, company coordination, job search services), in addition to profession development, training, certification review and in-house corporate instruction.  Some international associate partners offer membership services; others limit services to certification administration.  Authorized education providers provide training worldwide.
