APICS Principles of Operations Management

APICS Principles of Operations Management
APICS is proud to announce the launch of the APICS Principles of Operations Management program. This launch is the first step in an effort to update and rewrite the APICS Fundamentals of Operations Management program.

This new update includes a new, professional design; updated content elements; and added instructor tools. We are confident the APICS Principles of Operations Management program will give APICS channel partners an opportunity to offer up-to-date foundational training to their customers and communities.

About the Principles of Operations Management Program
The APICS Principles of Operations Management program is being newly rewritten based on the APICS Fundamentals program.  The first course, Principles of Inventory Management, will be released in March, 2011. The Principles of Inventory Management will replace Fundamentals of Inventory Control. While the remaining courses are being rewritten, APICS will continue to offer the following courses from the Fundamentals of Operations Management program

Flexible and Customizable Program: The Principles of Operations Management program contains five courses. Each course is designed with core components that will be taught to all students, and advanced concepts that instructors can use for special class situations.  In addition, each session within each course is complete and can operate as a standalone mini-course, or be combined with other sessions from the Principles of Operations Management courses to create a customized learning experience.

The audience for this program is

  • Individuals new to the operations and supply chain management professions
  • Midsized companies working to develop fundamental skills in operations management
  • Large organizations seeking to establish core competencies across teams
  • Individuals in community college and undergraduate university courses of study in operations management
