2012 APICS Board of Directors Nominations Announced
The APICS Nominating Committee met June 1, 2011, to select candidates to serve as officers on the 2012 APICS Board of Directors. I am pleased to inform you of the results of that meeting as reported by the committee chair, Robert J. Vokurka, Ph.D., CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP.

Additionally, the following individuals were nominated by the committee to serve as chair of functional committees:
Donald H. Sheldon, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, was nominated by the committee to serve as the Body of Knowledge Committee Chair for the 2012-2013 term.
Nicholas Testa, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, was nominated by the committee to serve as the Voice of the Customer Committee Chair for the 2012-2013 term.
The APICS Bylaws provide the opportunity for additional officer applicants to be proposed through a petition process. Should any member wish to petition, the petition must contain the signatures of at least one percent of the voting membership. Official petition forms may be obtained from Henri Wingfield, director of channel partner activities. The deadline for a petition submission is July 16, 2011.
Should a valid petition be received, a mail ballot will be sent to the entire voting membership. Otherwise, the committee chair shall certify the ballot for candidates as proposed by the APICS Nominating Committee and present it to the APICS Board of Directors for its consideration. Installation of elected officers will take place at the January 2012 meeting of the APICS Board of Directors.
